How to Build a Frizz-Control Hair Routine

Frizz is not always damage. Often, it is a mix of dryness, humidity and friction. A good frizz-control routine works before styling, during styling and after styling.

Start in the shower with a smoothing conditioner or mask. Do not rough-dry hair with a towel. Press out water with a soft towel or T-shirt, then apply a leave-in conditioner through the mid-lengths and ends. Before heat styling, use a heat protectant. After styling, finish with a light oil or serum, but avoid coating the roots.

A common mistake is using too much finishing oil and not enough leave-in hydration. Oil can improve shine, but it will not replace moisture. Browse haircare ideas through Beauty Bay or Sephora.

Paula’s tip: change your pillowcase more often. Product buildup can make clean hair look dull faster.
